Abstract
1,251,765. Photographic apparatus. G. GRIMM AND F. GEISENBERGER. April 27, 1970 [April 30, 1969], No.20124/70. Heading G2A. An illuminating arrangement in a photographic projection copier having a wide-angled lens and a substantially rectangular original carrier 1 comprises lamps 2 disposed on each side of the carrier 1, the lamps on at least two opposite sides of the support being further from than corresponding edges 4 in the middle thereof than at the ends thereof. As shown, the lamps 2 each extend in an arc lying in a plane 3 passing through said corresponding edge. The lamps 2 may be pivoted about the edges 4 to vary the brightness in the middle of the surface to be photographed when operating with different lenses, but in all positions of the lamps 2, the illumination of the edges 4 remains the same. In another embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) the carrier (1) is illuminated by rod shaped lamps (2) arranged to form sides of a polygon. In a third embodiment Fig. 3 (not shown) a plurality of lamp bulbs (2) are arranged in an arc on each of four pivotable side surfaces (3). A fourth embodiment Fig.4 (not shown) is arranged for illuminating an opaque or a transparent signal.
