Abstract

This invention relates to a lamphouse 1 for use in the production of prints on variable contrast material or on conventional photographic material and comprises lamps 2, 4 from which light passes through colour filters 35. A removable rectangular light box 11 in lamphouse 1 is covered with a light diffusing and reflecting material 17 and the sides of the box are covered with light reflecting material 16. The bottom of the box comprises a rectangular light diffusing screen 15. The light box has light entry ports 13, 14 adjacent to lamps 2, 4 which are mounted in the lamphouse on slides 6, 8. In operation a light box 11 is placed in the lamphouse, and the lamps are slid in their guides so that each lamp abuts the light box, so that the lamps are positioned with respect to the light box, regardless of its size, for use with various sizes of negative. <IMAGE>
