Abstract

1,250,044. Ladders. INDAL CANADA Ltd. 26 Nov., 1969 [15 Jan., 1969], No. 2334/69. Heading E1S. A metal ladder comprises a pair of metal channel section extrusions 10, 11 as stiles each formed with a series of D or box section continuous edged apertures and a series of tubular extrusions 13 as rungs, each formed with a pair of ribs 14 and having its ends deformed outwards by swaging over flanges defining the continuous edged apertures. In a modification the flange around the aperture is omitted, and in a further modification the aperture is formed in an indented portion of the web of the stile.
