Abstract

1,249,174. Tractor attachments for handling bales. P. A. M. MURRAY and D. CRAIG. 30 May, 1969 [31 May, 1968], No. 26352/68. Heading B8U. A load handling attachment for a tractor comprises arms 3, 4, Fig. 1, attached to opposite ends of a telescopic beam 1, 2 which is extended by a spring 9 and retracted to engage the load by an hydraulic ram 5, 6. The beams 1, 2 are rectangular in cross-section and lugs 10, 11 are provided on the beam 1 for attaching the device to the loading arms of a tractor as illustrated in Fig. 2 (not shown). The attachment may be folded down below the tractor lifting arms when not in use by removing one pair of attachment pins.
