Abstract
1,249,047. Phenylbutazone derivatives. DAUSSE S.A. 24 Nov., 1969 [25 Nov., 1968; 19 Feb., 1969], No. 57474/69. Heading C2C. Novel compounds of Formula I in which n is 1 or 2 and B is a monovalent or divalent radical of a saturated, heterocyclic, secondary, mono- or di-amine, the heterocyclic structure containing one or more hetero atoms, and being bonded to the CH 2 group of the formula by a nitrogen atom, B being other than piperidino or morpholino, and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, are prepared by (a) reacting n molecules of phenylbutazone and n molecules of formaldehyde with one molecule of an amine of formula B(H) n , or (b) reacting n molecules of phenylbutazone with one molecule of an aminoether of formula B(CH 2 OC 2 H 5 ) n in the cold, and, if desired, forming a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt of a resulting compound I. Pharmaceutical compositions having antiinflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties, for oral, rectal or topical administration, comprise a compound of Formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable addition salt thereof.
