Abstract

1,248,995. Hammer mills. ABJORN ANDERSON AB. 18 June, 1969 [27 June, 1968; 18 April, 1968], No. 30819/69. Heading B2A. A hammer mill for refuse destruction comprises a rotor 2 having swing hammers 3 which penetrate between teeth 8 and a tilting door 20 through which non-disintegratable tramp material is discharged by the force of the hammers. The teeth are reversible and are fitted in a box 34 under a discharge chute 24 for the tramp material, whose inclined surface is formed by the top wall 23 of the box. Between the openings for the teeth are wearing elements 36 secured by a pin 39. A perforate screen 9 (or alternatively a system of rods) is arranged below the rotor. Partly comminuted material is led out of the mill via an exit. opening (14) Fig. 1 (not shown), and finely comminuted material leaves via the screen 9.
