Abstract

1365259 Gyratory crushers BARBERGREENE CO 20 Dec 1972 [27 Dec 1971] 58970/72 Heading B2A A gyratory crusher has a selectively replaceable mantle cap 60, Fig. 2, for the head 10 permitting crushing of coarse or fine material. The head 10 has a centrally-located internally-threaded opening 45 and a threaded stud 63 engages in the opening, extends above the head and may have the mantle cap 60 for coarse crushing secured thereto. As described the mantle 40 is secured to the head 10 and surmounted (in the fine crushing mode) by a distributor plate (42), Fig. 1, not shown. The cap 60 and stud 63 are prevented from rotating by cooperating slots and projections 68, 65 and 66, 67, Fig. 4 and 6. The mantle includes a burning-ring 51 to facilitate removal with a cutting torch.
