Abstract

1,258,668. Gyratory crushers. BARBERGREENE CO. 18 Feb., 1969 [11 April, 1968], No. 8700/69. Heading B2A. Material is fed to the crushing gap of a gyratory crusher by a feeder, which comprises an open-topped container 108 provided with ports 120 and secured to the top of the crushing head. A hopper 124 with a spout 126 is secured to a shield 38 by struts 128 and is adjustable manually or automatically by jacks or rams relative to the container 108. When the crusher is operating the container is gyrated and rotated so that some material overflows the lip 118 and some is propelled through the ports into generally epicyclic paths.
