Abstract

124,889. British Thomson - Houston Co., and Wheat, H. C. April 4, 1918. Electric - lamp lanterns.-In an electriclamp lantern, more particularly for electric lamps of the gas-filled type, the lamp-holder 1 is secured to a support 2 having perforated or grooved lugs 3 for engaging fixed guide-rods 4, and provided with a bridge - shaped upper part 5, with which a bolt 6 for adjusting the position of the support engages. The bolt extends through the top of the lantern, and has at its upper end a knurled head 7 formed so as to constitute a waterproof covering for the aperture in the lantern top. A transverse locking-screw 8 adapted to engage a groove in the neck of the bolt is provided. A stop, such as a pin passing through a hole in the lower end of the bolt, prevents the support from being detached from the bolt.
