1,248,420. Laminated floor coverings. S. TASCA. 10 Dec., 1968 [11 Dec., 1967], No. 58569/68. Heading B5N. A process for making pre-shaped floor coverings comprises applying a mat of synthetic, natural or mixed fibre to one face of a backing of cloth, netting or sheet of heat-sensitive plastics material, the mat being then needled to the backing, impregnated with resin, dried and then raised to the curing temperature of the resin and pressed to shape so that when cold it will retain the form imparted to it, the pressing treatment being carried out at the same time as the curing of the resin.
