Abstract

1,248,328. Induction motors. JULIEN & MEGE S.A. 10 Dec., 1969 [18 Dec., 1968], No. 60254/69. Heading H2A. A single-phase asynchronous motor comprises a core 2 carrying a main winding 8 and two auxiliary windings 9, 11, the latter being connected in series with the supply 12 through a phase-shifting condenser 13 and arranged coaxially with their common axis parallel with that of the winding 8 and so that they generate opposing fluxes. As shown, the core is U-shaped, the arm 4 being detachably connected to the base part 3 by a dovetail joint 7 so that preformed windings may be employed. The arms 4, 5 are formed with arcuate polepieces 4a, 5a slotted at 4c, 5c to receive the auxiliary windings, each of which embraces half of a polepiece.
