Abstract

1,248,326. Excavating machines. BOFORS A.B. 4 Dec., 1969 [4 Dec., 1968], No. 59364/69. Heading E1F. A digger tooth is retained in a socket by a substantially rectangular pin comprising two spaced rigid members 26, 34 joined by a resilient member 42, the member 26 having a projection 32 engaging walls of the socket to prevent inadvertent removal of the pin from openings in the tooth and socket through which it extends. The openings in the tooth is displaced laterally relative to the openings in the socket providing a space for receiving the projection 32 when this is driven through the openings. The rigid member 34 may also have a projection so that the pin may be used either way round.
