Abstract

1,152,775. Excavator teeth. ABEX CORP. 5 Oct., 1966 [5 Oct., 1965], No. 44529/66. Heading E1F. To facilitate initial advance of a key 12 past a projecting portion 35 of a resilient detent 25 housed in one wall of a keyway 39 in an adapter 19 onto which a replaceable tooth 10 can be mounted so that apertures 32 in opposed walls of an adaptor-receiving socket 18 in the tooth are aligned with the keyway, the keyway wall 39 opposite the detent 25 is recessed at 38 to allow, as the leading end of the key enters the keyway, of an initial turning of the key about the projecting portion 35, which ultimately enters a recess 42 in the key to lock the key in the keyway.
