1410814 Excavator tooth assembly; stud- and-socket fastenings A CABALLERO 27 Nov 1972 [27 Nov 1971] 54643/72 Headings E1F and E2B A tooth assembly for an excavator comprises a tooth 5 having. tang 4 with a blind recess 7 in a surface thereof, an element adapted to be mounted on an excavator implement and having a socket 3, for reception of the tang 4, with a recess 11 in a wall thereof, and a resilient member 8 locatable within a substantially closed chamber formed 'by the recesses 7, 11 when the tang is in the socket, thereby removably retaining the tooth. Bores 12, 12A in the element 1 communicate with the socket to allow insertion of a tool to aid removal of the tooth.
