Abstract

1,248,252. Endless conveyers. MAVOR & COULSON Ltd. 8 Jan., 1969 [20 March, 1968; 7 Oct., 1967], Nos. 13422/68 and 47515/68. Heading B8A. In an endless, troughed belt conveyer 2 the rollers 3 are each supported from an arm 8 of a bell crank lever 7 pivoted at its apex 10 to a framework 1. The other arm 9 has an aperture engagable by a bolt 11A to releasably lock the lever 7 in an upper position with the rollers 3 supporting the belt 2. The lever 7 is movable, by a handle 15, between said upper position and a lower position with the rollers clear of the belt, to permit replacement of the rollers without stopping the belt. Pivoted cover plates 16, 17 are provided. In an alternative embodiment Fig. 3 (not shown) the lever is pivoted about a pin (30) received in a slot (33) of the arm (29) to lower the rollers (23) on to a platform (34), for replacement. The lever is locked in its upper position by a pin (32) co-operating with the framework (21).
