Abstract

1,008,836. Endless conveyers. ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTION DE VANVES H. DUMENIL. May 22, 1964 [May 22, 1963], No. 21285/64. Heading B8A. In an endless chain conveyer for storage compartments 1, each of the latter is pivotally mounted at G to a plate 5 which has pivotal connections 7, 13, to the endless chain 2. The connection 7 is fixed relative to the chain 2, but the connection 13 is movable along the chain, a ball bearing 13 carried by a pin 11 of the chain (Fig. 3) riding in a slot 12 of the plate 5. The pin 11 carries a bearing 7a which forms the pivotal connection 7 of the next adjacent plate 5. In a modification, there may be a second slot 12 (Fig. 5) instead of an aperture to receive the bearing 7a, and there may be a third slot 17 to engage a third pivot of the chain 2. The slots in the plate 5 may have closed ends (Fig. 6, not shown).
