Firing-appliances; stocks; sighting-accessories. -Relates to auxiliary stock attachments having a hyposcope for aiming from cover and an auxiliary trigger connected to the main trigger. The invention consists of special means for connecting the auxiliary trigger to the main trigger and for mounting the hyposcope on the auxiliary stock. In the construction shown in Fig. 5, the auxiliary trigger 7 is connected to the main trigger 16 by a link 8 pivoted at the rear to the trigger 7 and at the front terminating in a stirrup 19 having a cross-pin 20 bearing on the trigger 16. In the modification shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the link 8 is connected at the front to a pivoted plate or lever 21 on which is a spring pawl 24 projecting laterally to engage the trigger 16. The pawl 24 yields when the gun is placed in position and removed from the auxiliary stock. The hyposcope 11, Fig. 2, is mounted by means of a dovetail slide at the back of a socket 2 adapted to receive the butt of the rifle, and is locked by a spring catch 13.
