Sleepers, metal, and securing rails thereto; chair keys. - Sleepers are made by rolling a blank, having a width equal to the length of the sleepers, and forming four parallel ribs which are then shaped and stamped to form jaws a, b. The rails seats are thickened and inclined. The rail keys c, d are secured by a squared metal wire f lying in a groove in the key, and having one end entering a hole in the key while the other end engages the sleeper jaw. The keys may be varied to adjust the gauge.
