Abstract

1,247,328. Clutch control. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 6 June, 1970, No. 27473/70. Heading F2L. A clutch operating mechanism comprises a plastics or rubber bellows 9 compressible by a clutch pedal 3 to supply liquid through a line 11 to expand a bellows 13 acting through an adjustable rod 15 and lever 17 on a clutch release bearing 21. Filling and bleed openings 25, 27 are provided. A spring 23 provides a residual load on the pedal 3 to hold the clutch release bearing against the clutch release mechanism during clutch engagement. The position of the pedal 3 may be adjusted by adjustment of the rod 15.
