Abstract

In a rail mounted terminal block comprising an insulating housing 1 and a variable resistor having a rotatable cylindrical resistance element 5 with an external thread and a slider 6 engaging the thread, two pairs of terminals 2, (3, Fig. 4, not shown) and 13, (14) are situated on opposite narrow sides of the terminal block, each pair being located side by side and separated by a partition (12, Fig. 5, not shown) such that first terminals of each pair are connected through the variable resistor and the second terminals of each pair are directly connected by a return conductor 4. The terminals may be screw terminals or solder tags. A slotted head 9 on element 5 extends through a hole 10 in return conductor 4. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifcation 1,211,974.
