Abstract

1,246,176. Jaw crushers. M. PICALARGA 24 Feb., 1969, No. 9798/69. Heading B2A. A jaw crusher comprises stationary and movable jaws 2, 5, Fig. 1, connected to a frame. The movable jaw is connected by a member 17 to a forked lever 14 which is in turn pivoted at 15 to a connecting rod 12 and eccentric 11. The member 17 is movable into different positions in grooves 18 in the forked lever 14 and movable jaw 2 to provide adjustment of the fork acting on the jaw according to the type of material intended to be crushed. The member 17 is adjustable by a nut surrounding a bolt 25. Overload will snap the bolt. The jaw 2 has resiliently supported liners 27, 28 held in place by a wedge 35. The stationary jaw 5 is supported on flanges 36..38 of the frame. Members 39, 40 permit adjustment of the inclination of the jaw. In a second embodiment the movable jaw is pivoted to connecting rods (107), Fig. 3 (not shown) which are pivoted to the frame by shafts 108.
