989,837. Jaw crushers. DUST SUPPRESSION (RHODESIA) (PRIVATE) Oct 10, 1963 [May 17, 1963], No. 39951/63. Heading B2A. A composite two-stage jaw-crusher machine comprises primary and secondary crusher units 2, 3 mounted in a single housing and positioned to ensure direct discharge from the primary into the secondary unit, the two units having a common movable jawstock 10 mounted on a single eccentric shaft 11 and arranged to operate sequentially. The jaws 8, 9 on the jawstock 10 are arranged at an obtuse angle to each other, the fixed jaw 6 of the primary crusher being adjusted by positioning spacers at the base of the fixed jaw 6 between the jaw and the framework 1. The jaw setting of the secondary unit is adjusted by positioning spacers between the toggle link 15 and the framework 1. A tie bar 16 and compression spring mounting 17 are positioned between the lower end of the jawstock 10 and framework 1 to return the jaws 8, 9 to the open position.
