Means for connecting a reservoir 10 to the body 19 of a master cylinder comprises a resilient bush 24 provided with a radial flange 25 having on either side thereof annular recesses 26, 27 adapted to receive the peripheral rim 15 and lip 22 surrounding openings in the reservoir and body and with which radial seals are formed, and an insert 30 which is complementary to the bore of the bush and which is inserted into the bush after the latter is in position to maintain bush engagement and radial sealing between the reservoir and body, the insert having an extension 31 adapted to extend at least into the master cylinder wall to provide a support for the reservoir and prevent movement of the bush in a radial direction. The insert has a passage therein to provide communication between the bore of the bush and the end of the extension remote from the bush. As shown, the extension 31 has a passage 32 to provide fluid communication between the reservoir chamber 13 and the main piston of a tandem master cylinder, and a spigot 17 provides fluid communication between the reservoir chamber 14 and a secondary or floating piston.
