Abstract
1,245,285. Insulation in dynamo-electric machines. TOKYO KAGAKU K.K. 21 Nov., 1968 [22 Nov., 1967], No. 55370/68. Heading H2A. An insulating cover 1 placed against the end face of a salient pole rotor core comprises a metal plate having an insulating surface coating. The cover is formed with a lip 6 which extends around the edges of the poles and polepieces to prevent damage to the windings at the edges. The insulation may be formed by chemical treatment of the metal, or may comprise a layer of insulating paint. If iron is used for the metal, an anti-corrosion film may be provided beneath the layer of paint.
