Abstract

906,363. Insulation and securing coils for dynamo-electric machines. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. May 23, 1961, No. 18662/61. Class 35. In a dynamo-electric machine having salient poles carrying windings, each winding is encapsulated in epoxy resin so as to be attached to and insulated from each polepiece. Fig. 4 shows an interpole 15 carrying windings 14 and a holding plate 13 encapsulated in epoxy resin 12 before the polepiece 15 is attached to the stator yoke 2. The resin may be loaded with wood meal, mica dust or mineral powder and should have a coefficient of thermal expansion approximately equal to that of copper. Keying grooves 5 are provided.
