Abstract

Locking while standing.-A device for locking the clutch pedal to prevent unauthorized use comprises a swinging member which can be moved to hold the pedal depressed and is controlled by a lock. The member 9 is provided with a shank 8 riding in a casing 1 attached by screws to the footboard near the pedal. The shank 8 is provided with a recess 18 for engagement by a spring bolt 16 which is withdrawn by means of a key 24. The member has a strengthening-rib 10 and a project tion 9<d> which engages the clutch pedal; its movement is controlled by a stop 13, and a spring 6 is provided which returns it to its disengaged position when the bolt 16 is withdrawn and the pedal depressed.
