Abstract

850,264. Locking gear levers. WALLMARK, O. A. May 2, 1959, No. 15077/59. Class 79(3). A floor change speed gear lever which is universally pivoted in an upwardly extending neck portion 4 of the gear box passes through an inverted bowl 8 spring pressed upwardly against a cap member 6 and is locked against unauthorised use by inserting a bolt 12 beneath the lip of the bowl or into engagement with a notch or hole therein. The bolt 12 forms part of a cylindrical lock housed within a portion 11 of the cap 6 and is operated by a key. The cap may be attached to the gear box in a manner which prevents removal.
