Abstract

8959. Jensen, L. April 15. Lock mechanism.-In a lock with or without ordinary lever mechanism 7, a spring-controlled locking-plate 4 is pivoted to the casing at 15, and bent as shown in Fig. 2 to co-operate with both sides of the bolt 1. The plate is released from engagement with the bolt by the key acting on an inclined extension 5 of the plate. In addition, the bolt is notched at its inner end and is adapted, when shut, to engage a fixed gating 12, it being necessary for the key to lift the bolt to the correct position before it can be withdrawn.
