Abstract

1,244,103. Reciprocating pumps. JAWA, NARODNI PODNIK. Feb.3, 1969 [Feb.2, 1968], No. 5678/ 69. Heading F1A. In a pump in which the stroke of the piston 4 is controlled the piston 4 which reciprocates and simultaneously rotates has an extension 3 engageable with a stationary cam surface 1 and the stroke is limited by the engagement of a disc 8, fixed to the piston, with a rod 9 the other end of which rests against a control disc 11 having an axial cam face and which may be angularly adjustable. The control disc 11 is rotated against the force of a spring 12 thus adjusting the stroke by urging forward the rod 9. Inserts 13 are provided to set the axial position of the control disc 11. A spring 5 acting against a shoulder 7 formed on the piston urges both the disc 8 and the extension 3 towards the rod 9 and the stationary cam 1 respectively. The piston 4 receives a rotating motion from the worm 16 by way of the worm wheel 15.
