Abstract

124,401. Thompson, A. D. Dec. 17,1917. Tanks. - Petrol or other tanks are provided with a composite covering comprising a layer C<1> of soft material, such as printers' blanket, felt, &c., placed next to the tank, and a. layer C of rubber or similar material. The rubber layer may be surrounded by another layer of soft material, two rubber layers may be interposed between three layers of soft material, and an external metal or canvas covering may be provided. The covering may be used to constitute a packing between a tank and a movable cover of the type described in Specifications 17511/15 and 121,513. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 126,087 and 127,001.
