Abstract

Tanks.-A protective covering for tanks consists of two sheets of rubber, previously soaked in a melted mixture of pure bitumen, sulphur, and litharge, the second sheet being covered by a metal shell. A plate of cork, also soaked in the above-mentioned composition, may be placed between the two rubber sheets. The composition of the mixture is 500 grammes of bitumen, 60 grammes of sulphur, and 5 grammes of litharge. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 124,401, 126,087, and 127,001.
