Abstract
1,243,539. Colour photography. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Oct. 18, 1968 [Oct. 19, 1967], No. 49512/68. Heading G2C. Dye developer diffusion transfer processes are carried out in the presence of at least 0.3 millimoles per sq. ft. of catechol or a colourless, nuclear-substituted catechol which is a developing agent and is soluble in the aqueous alkaline processing liquid. The optionally substituted catechol may be in the photographic material, the processing liquid or the receiving sheet or layer. Preferably the process and materials used are similar to those described in Specification 1, 003, 675 but using the catechol in place of the hydroquinone described in this Specification.
