Abstract

1,242,478. Air filter. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 5 Sept., 1969 [25 Oct., 1968], No. 43982/ 69. Heading BIT. An air filter mounted on a carburettor 24 with an intake 26 comprises a cover with a peripheral portion 36 to which is bonded resilient flexible polymeric member 50 which is capable of deforming inward when contacting, e.g. the bonnet of a car but returning substantially to its original shape when the deforming force is removed.
