Abstract

1,242,283. Two-part couplings. JASTAC Ltd. 30 July, 1969 [1 Aug., 1968], No. 36839/69. Heading H2E. A socket comprises a metal, e.g. berylliumcopper, member with two spring arms 122, 124 for gripping a connecting pin, a cross piece 128 and a leg 130 which in co-operation with an apertured die can be punched into, e.g. a printed circuit board to make electrical and mechanical connection therewith. Shoulders 132 space the socket from the board. The leg may extend sideways (Fig. 2, not shown) and the cross-piece may be transverse (Fig. 3, not shown).
