Abstract

1,242,163. Photographic photo-developable silver halide materials. XEROX CORP. Feb. 21, 1969 [Feb.23, 1968], No.9485/69. Heading G2C. A photographic photo-developable material contains a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a soluble lead salt, e.g. lead nitrate, and a soluble thallium salt, e.g. thallium nitrate. All or part of the salts may be present during precipitation of the silver halide. A gold compound e.g. chlorauric acid and an iodide e.g. KI may also be present and the emulsion may be sensitized with a merocyanine dye or tetraiodofluorescein.
