Abstract
1,239,349. Turbomachine blades. MOTOREN UND TURBINEN UNION MUNCHEN G. m. b. H. April 2, 1969 [April 3, 1968], No. 17399/69. Heading F1T. In a turbomachine the blades 1 of the rotor or stator each have a resistance wire 3 embedded therein such that should a crack, e.g. 9, occur in the blade the wire breaks, the resistance change being sensed by a warning device 8. All the wires 3 of a stage or of several stages may be connected via terminals 5, 6. In the case of a rotor, the wires 3 are connected to the warning device 8 via a slip ring contact 9<SP>1</SP>. The device 8 produces an audible or visual signal in the event of a blade crack.
