[Class 40 (i)] [Also in Group XX] An air log is provided with a variable pitch impeller to enable errors in the air speed indications to be corrected. As shown the impeller 1 drives a transmitter 2 actuating a synchronous electric receiver 4. The transmitter 2 comprises two conducting segments 24, 25, connected to D.C. mains and co-operating with three equidistant stationary brushes 29, 30, 31, which are connected through the transmission wires 8 to a polyphase rotor in the receiver. The latter drives a speedometer 10 which may include a totalizer.
