Abstract

1,236,524. Radiators; arrangement of fans. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 21 Aug., 1969, No. 41666/69. Heading B7H. [Also in Division F1] An I.C. engine 1 having a crank-shaft extending parallel to the longitudinal axis A-A of a motor vehicle in which the engine is mounted has a cooling system including a radiator 2 mounted at the side of the engine substantially parallel to the said axis and impellers 10, 11 driven from the crank-shaft by a belt 14 and arranged to blow or suck air through the radiator 2. The impellers 10, 11 are mounted on a common shaft 12 within a duct 3 having a partition 7. In a modification only a single impeller is used.
