Abstract

1462265 Vehicle cooling arrangements NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 5 June 1974 [27 Aug 1973] 24976/74 Heading B7H An engine compartment is divided longitudinally into forwardly open sub-compartments 5, 6, 7 by partitions 4, the sub-compartments respectively housing the engine 8, a radiator 9 and fan 9a, and an air conditioner condenser 10 and fan 10a, the arrangement affording more efficient cooling of the components contained therein. Air is vented from compartments 6 and 7 through side vents 19, 19<SP>1</SP> and from compartment 5 through the bottom thereof. The fans may be driven by electric motors 9b, 10b or by a belt from an engine fan drive shaft 8b.
