Abstract

A heat pump comprises a casing 1 with two compartments 2a, 2b, a refrigerating system with an evaporator 7b located in compartment 2b and a condenser 7a located in compartment 2a, and two fans 10, 11 interconnected to form a unit which is movable between a first position in which the fan 10 can draw in air from inside a space and discharge same outside said space via the condenser 7a and the fans 11 can draw in air from outside said space and discharge same inside said space via the evaporator 7b, and a second position in which the fan 10 can discharge space air via the evaporator 7b and the fan 11 can draw in air from outside the space via the condenser 7a. The fan unit is rotatable manually or by a motor 13. Electrical resistance heating elements may be located adjacent the evaporator or the condenser. The fans 10, 11 may be driven by a common motor 14. <IMAGE>
