Abstract
PURPOSE:To smoothly carry out services accompanying troubles of a fan motor by providing a fan casing comprising a fan and a fan motor in a manner attachable and detachable to and from a main body cabinet. CONSTITUTION:In this hanging-on-wall type air conditioner, there is formed a specific space A provided with an opening B at the lower surface, between the inner surface of the back wall of a cabinet 1' secured to a wall body 2 and a heat exchanger 9 provided by facing a suction port 5 at the front surface of a main body 1. Within this space A there is constituted a fan casing 13 provided with a fan 14 and a fan motor 15 in an attachable and detachable manner through the above described opening B, to which a blow-off grill 6 is attachable and detachable. By the above described organization, in the cases of contact trouble of the fan 14 or the trouble of the motor 15, the main body 1 is not required to be removed from the wall body 2 but it is sufficient that the grill 6 is removed by screws 7 and 8, and thereafter further a screw 17 is removed, and that the fan assembly 12 is pulled out of the lower surface opening B. Consequently, the repair and exchange of the fan 14 and motor 15 become easy.
