Abstract

1,236,408. Releasable fastenenings. T. OHASHI. 11 Nov., 1968, No. 53406/68. Heading E2A. [Also in Division H3] In a preselection tuning device having first and second elongate members 1, 9 guided in means 13, 14, a tuning cam 3 is pivotally mounted on the first member 1 and an actuating member 6 and is pivotally connected to the second member 9 so that a component of a force causing longitudinal movement of the second member 9 acts transversely on the first first member 1 to keep one side of the first member 1 in contact with the guide means 13. As shown when the push button 10 and arm 9 are pressed the tuning cam is rotated to correspond to the position of the parallel rods b. Further pressing of the button 10 and arm 9 cause the actuating member 6 to slide relative to the arm 1 and move locking member 5 to lock the cam 3 in the set position (Fig. 4, not shown). Due to the offsetting of the pivot pins 7 and 12 on which the coupling member 11 is pivoted, during this further pressing, the arms 1 and 9 are forced upwards and downwards as viewed in Fig. 2 so that the edges of the arms engage the guides 13, 14. This ensures accurate setting and resetting of the tuning.
