Abstract

1,235,442. Ignition systems. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Mar. 23, 1970 [April 3 1969], No. 13911/70. Heading F1B. An ignition system includes circuit means coupled to a source of electrical energy 10 and the primary winding 28 of an ignition coil 26 for applying a series of voltage pulses having a substantially constant repetition rate and substantially constant electrical energy to the primary winding 28 over wide ranges of the terminal voltage of the source of electrical energy. The system may be used to ignite the fuel air mixture of a burner, for example, a burner in a gas turbine engine. (For Figure see next page)
