Abstract

1,233,904. Trousers press. P. J. S. CORBY. 1 Oct., 1968 [23 Oct., 1967], No. 33403/70. Divided out of 1,233,903. Heading A3V. [Also in Division D1] A trousers press comprises two flat members 2A, 5 having facing surfaces between which the trousers are pressed, one of the surfaces having a flexible electrically heated mat which is compressible in such a manner that in use the thicker trouser portions, e.g. the side seams, are accommodated between the facing surfaces, and a pair of stretcher bars 10A, 10B substantially as disclosed in Specification 1,233,903. The mat may comprise a flexible electrically heatable layer and a compressible layer which is resilient and is sandwiched between one facing surface and the flexible layer. The resilient compressible layer may be sheet 2B of foamed polyurethane plastics material, underlying flexible sheet 2C of rubber.
