Abstract

1,233,723. Transistor switching circuits. RCA CORPORATION. 10 May, 1968 [5 Sept., 1967], No. 28784/69. Divided out of 1,233,722. Heading H3T. The subject-matter of the Specification is substantially the same as disclosed in Specifications 1,233,722 and 1,233,724 but the claims differ. The invention relates to an electronic system constructed of current mode switching transistor pairs (22, 23, Figs. 1-9, not shown) each having input and output emitter follower transistors (21, 27 ; 24, 25) and connecting means for increasing the input of a particular one of the current mode switches by connecting the emitter of one or more of the output emitter followers of a further one or further ones of the current mode switches to an emitter of the input emitter follower of the particular switch. These output emitter followers then provide a dual function as an output transistor for one current mode switch pair and as an input transistor to another current mode switch pair. The circuits of the system may include discrete components or may be integrated circuits.
