Abstract
990,286. Transistor gating circuits. NORTHERN ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Aug. 2, 1962, No. 29763/62. Heading H3T. A gating circuit comprises an input circuit for connecting to a signal source e s , an output circuit 11, a signal path comprising a pair of complementary transistors 6, 7, a pair of diodes 1, 2, a biasing circuit EC1, EC2 for rendering the diodes conducting or non-conducting, and means for rendering the transistors conducting or non-conducting depending on the state of the diodes. As shown in Fig. 1, switching the diodes on by making EC1 positive and EC2 negative as switches on transistors 6, 7 to allow the input signal e s to pass to the output e o . In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 2 (not shown), the transistors are forward biased by reverse biasing the diodes.
