Abstract
1383440 Switching circuits TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L M ERICSSON 28 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 4243/72 Heading H3T A switching circuit comprises four switching devices, shown as transistors T1-T4, arranged in respective arms of a bridge and two control switches, shown as transistors T 5 and T 6 , connected between the control electrodes of respective diagonally opposite pairs of devices whereby a signal at an input terminal IN turns on one or other of the pairs of switching devices' As described, the transistors T 5 and T 6 are phototransistors controlled by luminescent diodes arranged in anti-parallel in series with a respective Zener diode so that an input signal exceeding a given value switches on one or other of the transistor pairs according to its polarity. A delay circuit RC at the input prevents both pairs being switched on together by the signal and further protection against simultaneous conduction is effected by phototransistors F t1 -F t4 which are controlled by luminescent diodes L 1 -L 4 to short the baseemitter path of one transistor when the adjacent one is conducting.
