Abstract
1,233,701. Multiwall container. PORTERLANCASTRIAN Ltd. 14 May, 1968 [15 May, 1967], No. 22381/67. Heading B8K. A container comprises a multiwall flexible envelope defining inner and outer closed spaces 12, 13 respectively, an inlet and/or outlet means 14 opening into the inner closed space 12, a similar means 15 opening into the outer space 13 and a further protective envelope 16. The means 14, 15 may each comprise a preformed plastics nozzle heat sealed to the outer face of the envelope, means 14 being secured to both walls 11a, 11b. The further envelope 16 may be a reticulate extruded openwork tube of plastics material, a woven polypropylene sack heat-sealed about the flexible envelope or a complete bag enclosing the container The multi wall envelope may have more than two walls 11a, 11b. In use a carbonated beverage is applied to the inner space 12 against the pressure of a fluid introduced into the outer space 13, by piercing the walls within the limits of the nozzles 14, 15. A pressure release means (not shown) may be provided to keep the pressure in the space constant. Preferably, liquid is expelled from the container by coupling the outer envelope to a source of air pressure.
