Abstract

1,241,333. Spray producers. J. R. GEIGY S.A. 7 Oct., 1968 [11 Oct., 1967], No. 47378/ 68. Heading B2F. Aerosol dispensers comprise an outer container 1 having valve plug means and a push button, and containing a reservoir 7 of propellant 8 under pressure, and the product to be dispensed accommodated in a fluid-tight flexible bag 22c. The propellant reservoir may be within the bag or the bag may be in the form of an annulus or spiral surrounding the reservoir. The bag may be made of plastic and/or metal foils or laminates, and the outer container of metal, wood or paper-board. Means may be provided whereby the dispenser may be operated in any position, particularly by extending the propellant draw off tube 48 to half the height of the reservoir which is at most half full. Entry of liquid propellant into the draw off tube may be avoided by forming the inlet as holes or slots in the side of the tube, or by shielding the end with disc-like caps. Alternatively the propellant may be adsorbed in a spongy or powdery material which is retained by a screen across the propellant outlet.
