Abstract

1344344 Aerosol dispenser CIBA-GEIGY AG 19 April 1971 [16 April 1970] 27078/71 Heading B2F In an aerosol dispenser comprising a product container 35; separate propellant reservoir 32; a valve unit comprising a housing 10, stem 15 and two obturating means 14, 29 adjacent opposite ends of a central passage 11 in the housing; and a casing 30 the casing engages the bottom portion of the propellant reservoir at 31a and a portion of the wall of the valve housing at 31c, a lid portion of the casing 31b engages the flexible gasket 29 of one of the obturating means to hold the gasket to the valve housing 10, and a space is provided inside the casing for the product container, the casing wall having openings 30a adjacent this space communicating with the atmosphere. The dispenser may thus be miniaturised for one-shop dispensing of medicaments. In a further embodiment, a valve actuating means and spray nozzle sub-assembly and a product and propellant containing casing forming a second sub-assembly may be used.
